Winthrop Arms Hotel & Restaurant

David Goll and his team are amazing!! Thank you for your hospitality and kindness. We traveled from Orlando to attend an event hosted at your establishment on 11/18. My suitcase was lost by our airline upon our arrival on 11/17. Needless to say you guys were so kind and sympathetic to my situation. Thank you David, and to everyone on your team. Your kind gestures and helpfulness were greatly appreciated by 2 tired and weary travelers. We stayed in the King Suite #309. The room was super comfortable, spacious and clean. The food at the Winthrop Arms restaurant is incredibly delicious!! Kudos to you and your team for providing outstanding service and impeccably delightful meals. The next time we are in the Boston area you will be our first choice for accommodations and cuisine. I can not say enough about our latest experience to Winthrop Arms. My husband and I have been regular customers for years. We recently moved an hour north, so when a group of friends and I were planning a little reunion, I called the Winthrop Arms and made a reservation for 16. When the day of our reservation came, my husband and I were blown away with every aspect of our evening. It's not easy to accommodate a party of 16, especially on a busy night, and yet we received exceptional service from beginning to end. We were all seated promptly. Our drink orders were taken and brought to us immediately. Our servers answered our questions with genuine knowledge and passion for the restaurant. Our food came out warm and fresh– not an easy thing to do with a party of our size. I ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese. I was expecting Mac and Cheese with a few lobster pieces, but I received the meat of an entire lobster on top! My husband ordered the broiled fisherman's platter, and he was so impressed by the flavor and freshness of the seafood. We were assigned multiple servers, which meant someone was always there If we needed a drink refill, a lemon wedge, or some extra dressing. Our servers were attentive, professional, and sweet. We want to give special thanks to Casey and The Doctor and the rest of the staff! We were all impressed by the level of service we received. Not only will we continue to be regulars at the Winthrop Arms (despite the now hour-long drive for us), every single one of our friends will be returning because of the positive experience we all received that night. We decided to extend our trip by staying overnight and were thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness and hospitality we received. Over a hundred years old hotel in a beautiful location, loved walking on the beach and seeing american residental area. Well I loved the room but because it is all in wood the walls are thinner. I had a next room snoring wakeup call all night🤣. And to get to bathroom I almost had to break in. But the furniture has its soul. They don't serve breakfast but they have restaurant. Maybe that is for the best, because the place they recommended was fabulous. And I never got a good breakfast in hotel in USA.

Absolutely amazing hotel, clean and affordable. Beautiful location and great environment very close to the beach. Very professional, well organized, helpful staff make staying here a very pleasant experience. Nice clean rooms are perfect size with all amenities you can need with amazing views of the ocean. Also, the restaurant here is an exceptional experience I would highly recommend as the food is delicious, very affordable, and an enjoyable experience. Very nice community atmosphere.

It's just Okay. Basic rooms that are a bit dated and could use some TLC. Very few (if any) amenities provided but sufficient for a one night stay close to the airport if you bring your own toiletries. Keurig and fridge in room were not used by us. Walls are thin and we could hear our neighbors conversation as well as the kitchen of the restaurant. Luckily we travel with a sound machine so we could tune it out. Check in is at the host stand in the restaurant. Short walk (1/2 block) to oceanfront parking. Restaurant service was polite and efficient, food was okay. Overall, for the price, I'm more likely to chose a chain hotel, which is usually a more guaranteed experience.

Great little hotel in a lovely quiet spot. We missed a connecting flight and booked the Winthrop based on the other reviews and we're really happy to have found it. First night of honeymoon saved! The staff.were so welcoming and friendly, the food was incredible and the room was spotless. Enjoyed exploring Winthrop in the morning and a walk along the beach to Shoreside for breakfast (our server recommended it!).
